My name is Krissy Bennett. I am a literacy specialist with a heart for children with dyslexia. My passion began sixteen years ago when my middle son, Jack, was diagnosed with a reading disability and ADHD at the age of six. At that time, it was hard to find reading tutors specializing in the Orton Gillingham method, and I was terrified he would never learn to read. I was able to find a tutor who used the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, which changed the trajectory of his and my life.  
 

I have spent the last twelve years working as the Academic Director at a private school in Oregon. I received my Master of Education with a focus on literacy and my reading endorsement from Western Oregon University. I am a certified Barton Reading and Spelling tutor and a dyslexia screener.

I am currently enrolling new tutor students. Tutoring can be conducted in person or online.
